Two way confusion
Stuart was taking Dad and his partner, Ella on a
drive-by sightseeing trip of York city centre. Ella was
obviously impressed with the old buildings, nice
architecture and pleasant looking people. Dad however
seemed pre-occupied by his memories of the road layout in
York and apparently it's extensive one-way system.
As we passed through a set of traffic lights and drove
along a road we all noticed that all the cars on the
other side of the road were queuing. "Is this a
one-way street then Stuart?" Dad asked. Yes Dad - of
course it is. That's why we are going in this direction
and all those cars are waiting to go in the opposite
direction!
