She is soooo sophisticated. Drinks water from the tap! Now I just need to train her to turn the tap on and off :-)

Mittens has settled in very well. Few teething problems though: 1) other cats outside in "HER" garden driving her wild 2) Couple of days she was sick after each meal. Looks like she was just eating too quickly. Now I just give her little portions throughout the day. 3) She's almost totally eaten my Chive herb plant!
Mainly because of 3), today I let her out into the back garden so that she can eat as much grass as she likes. Might even mean I won't have to mow the lawn so often, ;-)

Mittens has now been spayed twice! We weren't exactly sure if she had been fixed in the past so opted to 'play safe' and booked her in for the operation. Only then did the vet discover she'd already been done. Oh well. After a day walking around a little dazed, Mittens is now back to normal and sporting a very unflattering 3 inch square bare patch of fur. Nice :-)

It's official. Mittens is a killer. Found her playing with a dead bird in the garden (I'm sure it wasn't dead 10 minutes or so earlier). Couldn't get near to get it off her but eventually she got bored with it. Rest in peace little birdie :-(
