Hi Stuart! Thought i'd say hi - I picked up my new (second-hand, but new to me) Golf GTTDI on Friday and wanted to say thanks for your tips and tricks page. My car didn't come with the instruction manual (the dealership is sending me one in the post) and so some of the tricks in there have satisfied my curiosity for the time being! Keep up the good work on the site!

Thanks a lot Stuart. It is reassuring to know what this car is capable of. I recently bought an ex-Japan, SA built 2005 1.6 SRI Golf with 68000km showing. It appears to be in very clean conditon and as soon as we started the test drive I knew I had to have it. It reminds me of the road feel I enjoyed in an Alfa 156 that I regretted selling. The servicing costs may dampen my enthusiasm so I am reading all the hints & guides I can find to enable me to do as much as possible myself. All the best in your motoring adventure.
