Tripping circuit breaker
Posted by private, Sun 6 Jan 2013 6:49 pm
I too found my way here in search of repair suggestions for my Tassimo. When switching the power on, the lights flash briefly then the breaker trips. I opened and don't see any obvious problems like the cap issue. It's been sitting dry for weeks. Any thoughts on what could be shorted? Is there any there thermal protection switch that could be failing?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dale,
Something obviously isn't right if just switching on your Tassimo causes the supply's breaker to trip. If the inside of the machine is dry, then I suspect water must have got somewhere it shouldn't in the past and is causing a short. This could be anywhere. I don't think this is a thermal protection switch issue because it doesn't sound like your Tassimo is on long enough to start heating up!
If you have any further info, please let me know,
Stuart
