Hi Norbert,
I am glad to hear that you liked my website. Thank you for letting me know.
I have not heard of the problem you describe. There should be a permanent live to the rear wiper motor as well as a permanent earth. There should also be one, possibly two other wires which come from the car's Onboard Supply Control Unit (OSCU). The OSCU provides power to a number of devices when instructed to do so by the relevant switch. If the rest of the car is working fine, I doubt there is a problem with the OSCU. I suspect the problem could be with the wiper switch/stalk. I have not heard of a common problem with this stalk but I have with the stalk on the other side. It might be worth you seeing if there are any obvious problems such as dirty switch contacts. Also, as with most things with the Mk V, a check of the car's fault codes might reveal the problem.
Hope that helps. Let me know how you get on,
Stuart

Hi Stuart,
Thank you for your promt reply .
I have got a vagcom cable and there is no fault code about the wiper, but a few months ago the cruise control died.(17977 cruise control(e45) implausible signal p1569-008 implausible signal intermittent)
I have tried cleaning the switch and checked the brake switch, clutch switch but nothing changed. According to the following page:http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_319_d2.pdf
Both stalks wiring going to the onboard unit.
Perhaps you may know how to check the wiring on the cc switch(6 cable)
The wasnt in the best condition when i bought it but now these are the only problems at the moment and the alarm horn which is common problem.
Im looking forward to hear from you
Best wishes
Norbert

Hi Norbert,
I have just connected my VCDS to my car and checked what the Steering Wheel controller reports for the Cruise Control switch’s outputs. See attached. The Main Switch displays ON or OFF depending upon the position of the rotary switch on the top of the stalk and CCS-Set reports Accel or Delay depending upon whether the Accelerate or Decelerate buttons on the rocker switch on the end of the stalk are pressed. Does that help?
I am not sure how you could check the actual wiring between the cruise control switch and the onboard supply control unit.
