1.6 v 2.0 TDI DPFs

Hi are the newer 1.6 dpfs as bad as the older 2.0 ie 2011 vw touran.

Thank you for your message. I do not have any personal experience of the 2.0 TDI engines but I find the DPF in my 1.6 TDI works fine. So long as you can get your car up to operating temperature and maintain it for about 15 minutes every 250 miles or so, it should be able to regenerate and not cause any problems.

Ok thanks. I think too many short journeys are killing it. Might try a 1.4tsi as they get a good review.
