Bosch Tassimo Hot Drinks Machine

Bosch Tassimo Hot Drinks Machine Repairs | Tassimo Hot Water Dispenser | Forum

The whole point of the TASSIMO drinks machine is that you only need to add water and a T-Disc to produce the beverage of your choice. But sometimes, you may prefer to use your own coffee/tea either because it is cheaper or perhaps there just isn’t a T-Disc for your particular drink. Fortunately it is easy to use your TASSIMO machine as a hot water dispenser.

All you need to do is use the service disc which comes with each TASSIMO machine and is usually stored in a slot which is accessible when the water tank is removed. Cover the original barcode with one from a T-Disc which produces as close as possible to the amount and temperature of water required. Remember you can always adjust the quantity of water dispensed by the brewing process. Please refer to your TASSIMO machine's instructions.

I use the barcode from a Kenco Caffè Crema T-Disc which produces one full cup’s worth of hot, but not boiling water, ideal for making instant coffee or brewing ground coffee in a cafetiere.

It is important not to do anything to your TASSIMO machine’ s service disc which would prevent it from being used again in the future. Therefore, do not stick the new barcode directly on top of the service disc’s barcode. Instead, cut out a piece of card which will fit and stay in position over the service disc’s barcode and stick or print your new barcode there instead. Then, should you need to use the service disc in future, you can just pop out the piece of card revealing the original barcode.

You could also have more than one barcode to use with the service disc for producing different amounts and temperatures of water. For example, one for coffee and another for tea. However, it might be inconvenient to keep having to swap barcodes. In these situations it may be better to purchase additional service discs. These are available for purchase quite cheaply on web sites such as eBay.
