For the attention of the Service Manager and Master Technician.
Should the service indicator appear too early, typically 9,300 miles on a vehicle that is
set for LongLife servicing, please observe the following information.
Cause
As the engine control units is no longer coded to extended service intervals, wrong
values are used in the combination instrument.
Production solution
Correct coding.

Service solution
The function 'adjust service intervals' is included on the Brand CD V07.57.00.
Use the function 'adjust service intervals' in guided fault finding to fix the problem.
Should the vehicle be in the affected chassis range do not service the vehicle,
however, carry out the CD update.
As soon as the Brand CD V0.57.00 is available, it will be sent in the normal way.
Should a situation occur where the light comes back on shortly after the software
update has been carried out, there is a possibility that the oil may have been topped
up with an incorrect non LongLife type. Consult ELSA for the correct oil
specifications.
