Hi there,

As you know, i am currently in discussions with VW UK regarding the 30k service interval issue.

They are currently stating that the maximum interval is infact 30k, and not 18500 as they advised you.

Would it be possible to give me your full name, your cars details, case number, and possibly /scan and email over any letters they sent you?

They would not have a leg to stand on if i am able to present the letters they sent to you.

Hi Matt,

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with
VW. It is also frustrating to hear that they are still
quoting 30,000 miles as the maximum service interval.

If you want to mention my name to VW then that is fine
but VW will know how many people have contacted them
about this.

Just tell them that your car does not achieve anywhere
near 30,000 miles between services, your VW dealer has
never seen a car which gets near this figure and that
you think they have misled you into buying their car.

I have just got off the phone from Customer Services, they have now confirmed
that it was an error stating 30k miles, it was actually kilometers, and the
true maximum interval is 18500 or 24k whichever comes first. I asked for them
to cover the additional three services I will need to have during the next 4
years, they apologised and stated that VW could do nothing to recompense me.

I asked for the Chief Executives name and address, but first I have to take a
phone call as my case is now escalated to Customer Service Manager level before they will release those details.

Oh, I have asked that they write to me stating that due to an error in VW's
published material the servicing interval for my car in 18,500 miles and not
30,000 as previously stated.

The saga continues....
