Do you know how to turn off the coming home lighting system in Golf 1.6FSI ? The headlights will auto turn on at night when unlock the doors using the remote control, I only want the side mirror lights on but not the headlight on. Thanks.

Hi Edmond,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I'm not sure if you can control the "leaving home" feature of the auto
lights. It might be possible for your VW dealer to do this or perhaps
yourself if you have VAG COM but I'm not sure. Even if you can
enable/disable this feature, I'd be surprised if you can control whether the
sidelights or headlights are used.
You can usually turn off your "coming home" auto lights when leaving your
car by pressing the unlock button on the keyfob before clicking the lock
button. That usually turns the lights out but you have to do it each time
you leave your car.
Hope that helps,
Stuart
