Hi, what does flashing gear selected display mean on 2005 golf plus? it wont start and 123456 is flashing.

Hi Dennis,

I think that's the power steering warning light. I think there are two; a yellow one (for warnings) and a red one (for faults). I think only red warning lights flash and it normally means that there a serious, potentially dangerous problem. I would get it checked out ASAP.

thanks, may have mislaid you. It is PRND lights that are flashing and I suspect serious dsg fault.

Ah ok. Might not be quite so serious but you are right. The DSG isn't happy.
You could try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if that resets anything.
