Opening a T45

Thanks Stuart, with your help I opened my T45 without smashing anything. As a help to other Tassimo "openers" I used a good sized screwdriver inserted into the small slot in the silver cover, at the back and half way down. I pried it backwards in accordance with the slots in your photos. and the silver cover slid the necessary cm very easily and I was in.
The reason for wanting access was a faulty water level sensor. The red light would not go off without the help of a magnet so I was intending to install one at the sensor. A bit of wiggling of the sensor wires seems to have the sensor functioning again without the need for the magnet. Time will tell but in the meantime I've left the covers off and I will have a magnet standing by.

Thanks for a clear description of how to get in to a Tassimo machine. Glad my photos helped.

A faulty water level sensor appears to be a common fault. I have not experienced this myself but I know a few other people have and have asked me if I know where they could source a replacement sensor. From your description however it sounds like it could just be faulty connections.

Please let us know if your water level sensor behaves.

Stuart
