Intermittent Cruise Control Article

Thanks for your help on the Intermittent Cruise Control article you wrote. My Irish 2007 Mk5 Golf seems to be more like the Danish one you mentioned (which is now removed) since I could unplug mine and it had torx screws. I didn't had any solvents handy, but a good rub with a tissue was enough to get it working again.

Hi Cam,

Glad to hear you got your car's cruise control working again and that you found the article on my web site useful. Thanks for letting me know and also thanks for informing me about the dead link. I have now removed it.

Hi Stuart

No problem. I tested the cruise control switch again today and it is working flawlessly, so I think we have a winner! Now I just need to work out why my brakes are so sensitive. Seems common in European cars, but the power-assist on mine are just annoying! I hear there are 3 computer settings for this, but there is no consensus on how they should be set, so I'll just put up with it for now,

I got my car egged in Dublin last night (nice!) so now I need to work out how to clean it off and it seems that egg is pretty nasty stuff and I should have done it last night after it happened. Oops.

Cheers
Cam
