Good day Sir

I own a Golf MK 5 GT. I would like to know is there any way I could check the services status and faults on my vehicle through the MFD display without having to take my car to the service garage.

Hello Handi,

You should be able to check how long before the next service by turning on the car's ignition (but not starting the engine) and holding down the trip mileage reset button for a couple of seconds. It should then show the miles/kms to the next service followed by the number of days. It will then return to showing the original trip mileage.

If your car has the highline MFD you should also be access this information there. However, I do not think it will show you any faults on your vehicle - apart from low fuel, low oil level, high coolant temperature, etc.
