Hi Stuart,
I'm trying to follow your instructions for the temp fix to Golf Mk 5 bonnet latch sticking. I'm at the point where the bonnet has locked just and I'm trying to spring the lock with a screw driver, having not got the cable mech properly placed.

Can you please tell me in which direction exactly I should stick the screw driver in order to spring the lock ?

Thanks for your email. Sorry I've been slow replying.

Unfortunately I can't remember which direction you should move the screwdriver. I think I just looked for holes in the lock mechanism and stuck a screwdriver in and gently wiggled it around. It's not a precise science. You just have to experiment.
