Windscreen Washer Operation

my mk5 golf GTI front and rear winscreen washer operation has stopped working (cannot hear motor) and rear wiper is on all time even when switch is off?? Front wipers operate ok.....Help

Hi Paul,
Haven't heard of this specific problem before but it sounds like it could be the control stalk for the wipers which is at fault. Might be worth getting a scan of the car's fault codes to see if that reports anything. Your local VW dealer should be able to do this.
I am not sure if there are separate fuses for the front and rear wipers and am currently unable to look this info up. Open the fuse panel, take out the first fuse you see if a wiper symbol on it and see what happens!
