Hi there, just a query. I just drove my sisters golf for the first time and it has a display above the milometer that is counting up the miles that isnt the trip meter or the overall milage metre. It has a small "1" above it to the right. Just does this indicate and how can i reset it? Thanks

Sorry for the late reply.

Sounds like this is a reading from the trip computer. My car doesn't have
one so I'm guessing a little here. From your description it sounds like the
figure being displayed is the trip mileage. The Mk V Golf's trip computer
has two memories. One is reset is at the beginning of each journey, the
second has to be reset manually. You can select other trip computer readouts
using the rocker switch at the end of the wiper stalk and select the
memories using the OK button underneath the wiper stalk and I think reset
the memories by holding down this button for about 2 seconds.
