I have had an SE tdi on test for 4 days can't
fault the performance or finish however there does
seem to be rather a lot of road noise from the front
tyres. As I haven't seen this mentioned in in any road
tests I just wondered if you have noticed it or ther
might be a fault with the one I have on test. My
present 4 year old 103K miles Astra is much quieter
which I find surprising.

Hi John,

I have to admit I originally thought that when I test
drove a Mk5. However, it wasn't enough to put me off
buying one and I've never really noticed it in my car.
I wonder if it's just because you don't hear the
engine pretty much the only noise is wind and road
noise.
