Hi Stuart,

I hope this finds you keeping well.

The interior indication lights at the bottom of the front doors are not working and the beeper if you leave the parking / main lights on after switching off the car is not sounding.

Would there likely be a problem with the fuse / lamps and are the problems inter-connected?

Hi Shaun,

UK Golf's do not have lights at the bottom of the doors, they just have reflectors. We do get a chime sound if we open a door with the lights on.

I suspect your car's problems are related. I would first check the condition of the wires which pass from the car body to the door in-between the hinges. I have heard that the wires are prone to snapping here and this might cause the multiple electrical issues you mention.
