2005 Golf Plus 1.9TDI Interior Heating Problem

Hi Stuart,

I've recently purchased a 2005 Golf Plus 1.9TDi knowing that I would have to change the Blower Resistor which was an easy job, but not knowing that the Internal Heating doesn't work after the car's been running for about 20-30 mins. The fan blows but no air and no heat. I understand that heating sensors can be a problem on this model so wondered if you could refer me to a thread that covers this with remedial actions ( where's the sensor located if I need to change it ) It's a great car that runs really well but this heating problem is a real pain as we move into the colder weather.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Best Regards
Steven

Hi Steven,

Not sure I can be much help. I've not really heard of this problem before. I do however know where the sensor is for the Climatic heating system. There's a photo of it on my website at http://www.stuartdalby.co.uk/vwgolfmk5/vwgolfmk5_secrets.php (towards the bottom) if that is of any help.

Stuart
