I have a mk5 and im curious to know if i can open the menu of mdf in car. Waitinf for any answer

Hi Marli,

If your Mk 5 has a trip computer you should be able to access the MFD by holding the OK/RESET button on the underside of the wiper stalk for about 2 seconds. For more information, see http://www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/multifunction-display-mfi-or-mfd-faq-and-menu-settings-mk5-mk6/

Thanks alot for replaing. I did try that and i reset the counter of my consumption. But i noticed i have half mdf and i read over the internet that i cant open dhe menu settinga of my mk5. But still thanks alot. Just bought this car and i want to know more tricks more things. I want to experiment but when i dont know nothing about that aint gonna touch that. Thanks again.

My car doesn’t have the trip computer and so I am going from memory.

Maybe try holding down either up/down on the rocker button on the end of the stalk. Failing that, your car mustn’t have access to the settings menu.

I think my car doesnt havr access to the settings menu. I tryed almost everything. But still its ok. Thanks again. And since you asked, Yes ive seen your page but some of those secrets are not working on my car. Like the extended fold mirror and sun protector.
