Reset Service Now light

I reset the service now thing on my golf by pressing 000 then the minute button it now does not come on wen I start the car up but wen I repeat that process again it still says service now
Does it need properly resetting on a machine

Hi Martin,
I never reset my Mk5's service indicator myself but it sounds like you are doing it correctly (see http://uk-mkivs.net/topic/22410-resetting-mk5-service-light/?p=834395). If the Service Now message remains then maybe something is wrong. It might be a good idea to get the car checked and have any fault codes read. Do you know how many days/miles since the last service?

I have done it now just had to fiddle about lol
